en https://community.icann.org/display/alacpolicydev/At-Large+Workspace%3A+Plan+to+Restart+the+Root+Key+Signing+Key+%28KSK%29+Rollover+Process[community.icann.org] se puede ver lo que ALAC someterá a votación para expresar la opinión de los usuarios sobre el proceso KSK, que como todos sabemos es la rotación de las "llaves" del sistema de PKI (criptografía de llave pública) del sistema DNSSEC que protege al sistema de nombres de dominio (DNS) contra algunos ataques significativos.
El texto no recoge la propuesta que hicimos aquí en LACRALO de que las ALS asumamos un papel en la difusión de este proceso entre los ISPs, otros proveedores, sociedad civil, comunidad técnica y gobiernos a nuestro alcance. Más aun, dicho texto fue incluido en una versión preliminar y eliminado en la final. Eliminar la corresponsabilidad de las ALS nos pone de nuevo en el papel de peticionarios que no contribuyen con una cción propia a la seguridad, estabilidad y robustez del DNS, la responsabilidad primaria de ICANN.
Por ello hago un llamado a nuestros representantes en ALAC para que insistan en la inclusión de dicho texto y, de no lograrlo, voten en contra de la aprobación del texto propuesto. Considérese esta propuesta como una moción formal y procésese en tiempo abreviado para que se pueda decidir antes de la votación en ALAC. De no ser posibles estos tiempos, emítase ex-post-facto como protesta.

The text does not include the proposal that we made here in LACRALO that the ALSs assume a role in the dissemination of this process among ISPs, other providers, civil society, technical community and governments within our reach.Moreover, said text was included in a preliminary version and eliminated in the final. Eliminating the co-responsibility of the ALS puts us again in the role of petitioners who do not contribute with their own decision to the security, stability and robustness of the DNS, the primary responsibility of ICANN.
For this reason, I call on our ALAC representatives to insist on the inclusion of this text and, if it is not achieved, vote against the approval of the proposed text. Consider this proposal as a formal motion and proceed in abbreviated time so that it can be decided before the ALAC vote.If these times are not possible, be ex post-facto as a protest.
