In 2011, the ICANN Board had directed (via Board Resolution 2011.10.18.32) that negotiations on amending the 2009 Registrar Accreditation Agreement (RAA) be commenced and, following their conclusion, an Issue Report be created to undertake a GNSO Policy Development Process (PDP) to address any remaining items not covered by the negotiations and otherwise suited for a PDP. Following the Board's adoption in June 2013 of the new 2013 RAA, the issue of privacy and proxy services accreditation was identified as the sole remaining issue for which a PDP would be appropriate. | ||||||
| 3) Purpose/Goal of Work Effort: | The PDP Working Group (WG) is tasked to provide the GNSO Council with policy recommendations for ICANN's implementation of an accreditation program for privacy and proxy services, taking into account prior community work on the topic. | ||||||
