Avri Doria:happy to talk about the remedial round.  i think any type of name from developing economies, especially communities should be included in a remedial round.

Avri Doria:sorry was not watching chat while talking.

Alan Greenberg:@Tom, to be clear, there is no remidial round at the moment, it is a concept that has been pushed by some.

Alan Greenberg:It will be whatever we can sell!

Avri Doria:so, yes, cities.  as long as they were developing economy (which may be a broader defintion than developing nation.

  Silvia Vivanco:Time is up Glenn

Avri Doria:yes Alan, I was not saying there was one, but that I argue for one.

Evan Leibovitch:Given the delay in choosing a general assmbly until the BA meeting, it's likely that a NA GA to take place near ARIN in Montréal won't happen.

Alan Greenberg:@Avri, yes, but I was commenting on the wording of Tom's message which could give others the impression that it was a done deal. Sadly not.

Evan Leibovitch:One question to all ALAC candidates: What is the single biggest challenge regarding ICANN policies (not its processes) in relation to At-Large and thge public interest?

Peter Knight:To nominees for ALAC and NOMCOM: Please indicate some means by which you would help bring more developing countries representatives to become active in ICANN affrairs, and represent their interests as end-users.

Silvia Vivanco:please answer in 1-2 min max

  Silvia Vivanco:so all can respond

  Evan Leibovitch:Me? trick question? Naaah.

Silvia Vivanco:Peter's questions is  for Garth, Avri ,Alan and Eduardo

  Silvia Vivanco:in that  order

Silvia Vivanco:1-2 min per answer please

Peter Knight:But what ways to use the Internet: Are we talking of social media, more articles/programs in the conventional print and electronic media? Or what?

Avri Doria:Yes, I would use alll of those.  What ever media works.

Avri Doria:different media choices depending on situation.

Avri Doria:a fully scope program for interracting.

Louis Houle:@ Evan: The complexity of the organisation is one of the issues that ICANN should work on. From an end-user  point of view, ICANN doesn't have a poliy approach that facilitates participation.

Avri Doria:The visa issue has been plaguing particpation for a while.  They really need to take repsonsiblity for assisting in visa.

Tom Lowenhaupt:Someone mentiuoned making issues more concise.  Who would do that? Do we need staff to do that.

  Glenn McKnight 2:thanks  Garth

  Judith Hellerstein:Thanks Garth

  Evan Leibovitch::-)

  Silvia Vivanco:Avri  next

Terri Agnew:@Tom, to whom is your question addressed to?

  Silvia Vivanco:then Judith

  Glenn McKnight 2:Thanks  Avri

Glenn McKnight 2:It's going to become  a  group process

  Silvia Vivanco:Alan will be next

Peter Knight:Plainspeak: Right on Garth! Alphabet soup is off-putting to the uninitiated.

  Silvia Vivanco:and then Avri

  Silvia Vivanco:and then Louis

Silvia Vivanco:And we will wrap up next

Evan Leibovitch:@Louis: The UN is worse :-P But also much bigger.

  Glenn McKnight 2:Thanks all

Tom Lowenhaupt:A big + for all. Tough decisions ahead.

Heidi Ullrich:That will take place on Monday's NARALO call

Judith Hellerstein:Yes their is a draft agenda for this mieeting
