Alan Greenberg:Note that we have no control over a future Board deciding not to do evaluations.
Roberto:I think that the root cause is that the 360 eval is done only when it is renewal time, this is nonsense, because one of the advantages of the eval is to allow the Direcor to improve - but this is not our problem as BCEC

Roberto:I don't think that a referee can say for multiple persons that they think they are the best candidate

Alan Greenberg:Strategic voting to select the weakest candidate is a real issue.
Roberto:I think that a teleconference among the voters could be at least an attempt to solve the issue, people will have to tell the reasons why they vote

Murray McKercher Toronto:I must leave the meeting shortly, just wanted to comment on Roberto's earlier comments on "Starting Earlier" I support this wholeheartedly as in the last BCEC process, which did take place over a holiday period made it challenging to hold as many calls discussion the candidates as I feel was necessary.
