The Inter-Registrar Transfer Policy (IRTP) is a consensus policy that was adopted in 2004 which provided for a straightforward process for registrants to transfer domain names between registrars. The Generic Names Supporting Organization (GNSO) Council established a serives of five Working Groups (Parts A through E) to review and consider various revisions to this policy. During this session an update will be provided on the status of the different IRTP related initiatives:

a) IRTP Part B - Status of implementation of the recommendations adopted by the ICANN Board (see http://www.icann.org/en/minutes/resolutions-25aug11-en.htm#1.2)

b) IRTP Part B - Status of recommendations awaiting staff proposals (see http://forum.icann.org/lists/gnso-irtp-b-jun09/msg00834.html for latest draft of staff proposals)

c) IRTP Part C - Initiation of Policy Development Process and Call for Volunteers (see https://community.icann.org/display/gnsoirtppdpwg/Home)

d) 'Thick' WHOIS - Request for an Issue Report on the requirement of ‘thick’ WHOIS for all incumbent gTLDs as recommended by the IRTP Part B Working Group
