The Policy Transition Program will be the next step for ICANN Fellows, NextGen@ICANN alumni, and referred newcomers interested in active policy participation at ICANN. Participants will engage in specific policy knowledge-building, cultivating a deeper understanding of current and forthcoming policy matters, while building community relationships and value in volunteerism.

The Applicant Support Program was developed to ensure worldwide accessibility and competition in the 2012 New gTLD Program. It provided an opportunity for new gTLD applicants meeting certain qualifying criteria to receive financial and non-financial support. The community continues to advance improvements to Applicant Support for the next round of new gTLD applications. In this Policy Transition Program pilot, participants will interactively engage with community members experienced in this topic and examine the Applicant Support Program’s evolution in the making.
