10) Proposed Goals and Outcomes:

Definitely, the goal centres on one of NCUC mission by way of outreach engagement of non-commercial users of the Internet especially in this case members of the civil society like the Africa Civil Society on the Information Society (ACSIS). This is not to say that other key elements like the academia will be left out as specific as ICTMedia and human rights subgroups among others. I have advanced elements of this with the leadership of ACSIS in this regard and will be discussing the “Role of NCUC in Civil Society Engagement within ICANN” and also highlighting how Africa, especially the civil society and individually not commercially biased can take part actively in NCUC and ICANN at large, for a better understanding and invariably representation. The outcome eventually is that we get more interested parties from this region to participate in NCUC activities and cultivate their membership by the end of the conference with follow ups for the larger benefit of ICANN as a multistakeholder structure it intends to truly achieve.
11) Additional Information (optional):

I am the only one working on this outreach and requesting support of NCUC, thereforen not aware of any one else for now, but in case there is I would be very happy to collaborate so that more and greater success will be achieved.
