            Agreed.  And sometimes structures are put in place to reinforce distance to power (bureacracies, security and other) and sometimes structures are created to incentivize lower power distance (town hall meetings with a President or CEO, etc)

            One of the things about ICANN is that sometimes you are interacting with people you know and often you are interacting with people you have never met. So that really complicates things in trying to figure out where everybody is coming from.
