We report the start of work for the launch of Universal Acceptance Courses in April 2021.
There will be for technicians in general as computer engineering students, developers as well as end-users.
We will soon start tuition/registration to organize students
and determine how many versions of the course we will have to organize.

MAYO 2021 - SUB-GRUPO UA
Ha sido realizado el Curso de Aceptación para técnicos de la región de LACRALO pero abierto a toda la comunidad de ICANN.
El idioma oficial del curso fue el español aunque contamos con traducción simultanea al inglés por el equipo de interpretes de ICANN!!
Hubo aproximadamente 150 inscriptos de 14 paises de la región. Se llevó a cabo en 4 sesiones de 1:30 y los participantes que estuvieron en las 4 sesiones y completaron
los requisitos mínimos de participación obtubieron un Certificado de Participación en el aval de UASG - ICANN - LACRALO.
Tuvimos la dicha de contar con los mejores profesores de UA por un esfuerzo participativo de voluntarios y staff de ICANN. Muchísimas gracias a todos: Dennis Tan, Daniel Fink, Mark Datysged, Champika Wijayatunga y Sarmad Hussain.
Muchas gracias también a Silvia Vivanco y Daniel Fink en nombre del staff de ICANN por ayudarnos con la parte logística.
Y por último el agradecimeinto a las autoridades de LACRALO, Sergio Salinas Porto y Harold Arcos por confiar en los 3 grupos de trabajo de LACRALO que hicieron posible el primer CURSO DE UA P/ TÉCNICOS DE ALAC. MAY 2021 - UA SUB-GRUP
The Acceptance Course has been conducted for technicians from the LACRALO region but open to the entire ICANN community.
The official language of the course was Spanish although we have simultaneous translation into English by the team of interpreters of ICANN!!
There were approximately 150 registered from 14 countries in the region. It took place in 4 1:30 sessions and participants who were in the 4 sessions and completed
the minimum requirements of participation obtained a Certificate of Participation in the guarantee of UASG - ICANN - LACRALO.
We were fortunate to have the best UA teachers for a collaborative effort of ICANN volunteers and staff. Many thanks to everyone: Dennis Tan, Daniel Fink, Mark Datysged, Champika Wijayatunga and Sarmad Hussain.
Many thanks also to Silvia Vivanco and Daniel Fink on behalf of the ICANN staff for helping us with the logistics.
And finally the thanks to the authorities of LACRALO, Sergio Salinas Porto and Harold Arcos for trusting in the 3 working groups of LACRALO that made possible the first UA P/ TECHNICAL COURSE OF ALAC. - Reactivación miembros wg e incorporación nuevos miembros
- Incorporación nuevo co-chair en la persona de Gerardo Martinez Hernandez de Méjico
- Participación en LAC-DNS week 2022
- Nombramiento del primer Embajador regional representando una RALO, por el UASG, en la persona de Luis Sergio Valle Sejas de Bolivia
- Programación de 4 eventos regionales de outreach en Bolivia, El Salvador, Méjico y Ecuador. Los eventos serán realizados antes de junio 2023. (esperando aprobación de UASG)
- Envío solicitud LOCAL INICIATIVE en nov 2022, con varias propuestas de actividades regionales en toda LACRALO (esperando aprobación de UASG)

• Sending LOCAL INITIATIVE request in Nov 2022, with several proposals for regional activities throughout LACRALO (awaiting approval from UASG)

Se han reiniciado las actividades y estamos preparando a todas las ALS de LACRALO que quieran participar en el 2024 UA-day, que se realizará entre el 1 de marzo y el 30 de mayo 2024.
Activities have resumed and we are preparing all LACRALO ALS to participate in 2024 UA-day, which will be held between March 1 and May 30, 2024.
