Debe tenerse en cuenta que, durante la reunión sostenida en Los Ángeles en enero de este año, se lograron varios puntos en común, por el objetivo es la organización e implementación de este grupo de trabajo a fin de poner en funcionamiento el Consejo y dictar las pautas que regirán su funcionamiento.

Objective and scope of work

In February this year, the Mediation Report called " The path forward for LACRALO", was issued. The versions in Spanish, English and Portuguese were sent to the LACRALO mailing lists (Spanish and English)

The Report was drafted by CBI, mediators in this process, who issued a number of recommendations with the purpose of dealing with the differences and stranghtening the ongoing work of LACRALO. Likewise, said Report proposed, as "next steps"  the creation of a "Council of Elders". This name has been used preliminarily.

We should consider that the during the meeting held in Los Angeles, in January several issues were agreed on. One of the agreements is to organize and implement this working group with the purpose of opening and implementing this group and establish the guidelines for its functioning.
