10) Proposed Goals and Outcomes:

Content Guidelines (click here)

The following are the goals and expected outcomes of the trip:

  • Participate in APrIGF and APSIG and represent the interests of the end-user community, APRALO and ICANN
  • Network with the other AP* organizations to build synergies in Internet Governance, and plan programmes for reaching underserved regions within the AP region
  • Reach out to individuals and organizations in the region, get them interested in ICANN's policy development process, and engage with them to make them individual members or ALSes in APRALO. One of the earliest ALSes in Afghanistan was the outcome of such outreach at APrIGF 2016.
  • Participate in panels and workshops. APRALO's workshop proposal has been accepted as a merger candidate with ICANN APAC Hub's proposal, on the topic of AP* organizations working together for taking IG to the grassroots communities.
  • Participate as a Co-chair in the development of the Synthesis Document which will coordinate IG concerns from the APrIGF community to take to the global IGF.
  • Provide support to APSIG and APrIGF as members of the organizing group and MAG respectively
  • Help co-ordinate Schools of Internet Governance in the region through the All-SIGs process that was started at ICANN57.
  • Participate in APSIG as a resource person.
