Dr. T V Gopal served as a Member of the Sub-Committee of the IT Task Force, Government of Tamil Nadu from 27 November 2000 to 25 July 2001. The IT Task Force and its sub-committee have been replaced by the Tamil Nadu Information Technology Council (TNITC). This responsibility has been duly gazetted by the Government of Tamil Nadu. My work with ICANN has been fully formal with the Government of Tamil Nadu.

Dr. T V Gopal has been acknowledged for contributing unique thoughts on politics in detail by email, on telephone and in personal discussions in a book titled "A Manifesto for Change" by Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam [Formerly President of India] and Dr. V Ponraj.
