Joint Meeting: ICANN Board and GNSO Council - ICANN72

On behalf of the GNSO Council, hereby the proposed topics for the Council’s meeting with the ICANN Board at ICANN72:

o   A status update on GNSO Council approved policy recommendations /clarifications that are with the ICANN Board for a decision. These include:

-      Status of EPDP Phase 1 Recommendation #12 – see https://www.icann.org/en/system/files/correspondence/fouquart-to-botterman-04mar21-en.pdf

-      Status of EPDP Phase 1 Recommendation #7 – see https://www.icann.org/en/system/files/correspondence/fouquart-to-botterman-29jan21-en.pdf 

As well as an update on the expected timeline for implementation of the EPDP phase 1 recommendations and the potential impact a decision on these outstanding items may have had on that timeline. 

o   Update on the Council’s plan for this year’s Strategic Planning Session

The Council would have no objection if the updates on the status of the GNSO Council approved policy recommendations as well as the expected timeline for implementation of the EPDP Phase 1 recommendations are provided by email in advance of the meeting so that the limited time available can focus on discussion and possible follow up questions.
