10) Proposed Goals and Outcomes:

Content Guidelines (click here)

Participating in the Nepal IGF would help APRALO and ICANN in several ways:

  1. It would help to project ICANN and APRALO to the participants of the Nepal IGF. As of now, Nepal does have two ALSes represented in APRALO, but there is a need to contact the larger member community in order to communicate about the APRALO and the ICANN At-Large Community as well as the need for working together.
  2. I would be speaking/presenting at sessions. I am in touch with the organizers for speaking slots. There should be no difficulty in speaking at one or two sessions in the two-day event. These speaking slots will help communicate the regional priorities for APRALO as well as the big picture from an IG perspective
  3. The occasion is a good opportunity for community engagement, in addition to outreach. It would also serve to recruit ALSes not only from Nepal, but also other underserved countries/states around, such as Bhutan (an independent country), and Sikkim (a mountainous state in India adjacent to Nepal)
  4. Participation would also enable Communication and knowledge-sharing on ICANN, the Multistakeholder model, APRALO and APRALO's regional strategies and plans.
  5. My participation has been requested by ISOC-NP, which is one of the local ALS, and the visit will also strengthen the ALS and enable it to attract more members.
11) Additional Information (optional):

Since the venue is at a distance of about 8-9 km from the city centre, local travel may also have to be factored in.
