10) Proposed Goals and Outcomes:

The objectives of this trip are: 1) To create awareness both locally (Colombia) and regional (LAC) and to recruit new members of the community; The expected result is "evangelize" about what ICANN is. The idea is to incorporate more ALSs from Colombia in LACRALO. 2) To participate effectively with current members (in this case our ALS called ENREDO that organizes the event); The expected result will be measured by the success of the event which it is organized by an ALS in Colombia. 3) To communicate the mission and goals of ICANN to new audiences. The result will be tangible by the presentations of Alberto Soto during the event.

Antecedentes

El primer Foro Latinoamericano y del Caribe “Internet: reto y oportunidad en la Gobernanza y en la Ciberseguridad  es organizado en conjunto por LACRALO, Universidad Autónoma de Colombia, la Red de Universidades U x TIC y la ALS EnREDo.

En el Foro se difundirá el trabajo el trabajo que viene realizando LACRALO en la región y en especial en  Colombia, además se fortalecerá el proceso de integración regional en materia de Internet. Para ello se considerarán el dinamismo tecnológico y las tendencias

marcadas de Internet, la convergencia tecnológica, la gobernanza, la economía digital, el gobierno electrónico y la ciberseguridad

Esta reunión servirá de escusa para conmemorar el Día Mundial de Internet y los 10 años de funcionamiento de LACRALO
