10) Proposed Goals and Outcomes:

This CROPP proposal builds on the 2016 Strategic Plan of APRALO as well as previous experiences with the CROPP program in APRALO. The following are the objectives of the CROPP Mission to APRICOT 2016: 1. To build broad partnerships within the Asia-Pacific-Oceania region in the realm of Internet Governance, including APNIC, APTLD, ISOC and the related numbers and ccTLD communities 2. To strengthen the presence of APRALO, and in turn, the ICANN At-Large Community in the region 3. To provide capacity building assistance, particularly for the ccTLD communities in Oceania 4. To provide support to APAC-specific initiatives including Multilingualism and Universal Acceptance 5. To support the outreach efforts ICANN and its different organs (eg., NomCom) 6. To continue the community participation initiated through the previous CROPP initiative at APRICOT 2015 Specific Components of the Project: A. Support from ICANN under CROPP 1. A 3-person APRALO mission to APRICOT 2016 from APRALO leadership, including travel, accommodation and visa support for two nights (21-23 Feb 2016) and three days B. Support Mobilized from other sources 1. APTLD will provide travel and accommodation support to four persons from the Oceania ccTLD community for participation in the APTLD Technical Workshop 2. Dot-Asia will support the registration fee for the 3 CROPP participants (at US$500 each) and plus one or two APRALO Leadership members to be able to participate at the events 3. APNIC will also support APRICOT Fellows some of who are from the At-Large Community (to be announced in Dec 2015) 4. Accommodation support for an additional APRALO leader (Maureen Hilyard) from Oceania for 3 nights will be provided by APTLD, to enable her to make presentations at APTLD technical workshop. Maureen's travel and accommodation charges for the Conference are expected to be met by the Pacific Internet Partners Fellowship. 5. ISOC Singapore will support one additional participant from Oceania to the ccTLD workshop

ACCOMMODATION: Rooms are already filling fast in central Auckland for the February 2016 event. It is advised that bookings are made at SkyCity for the 3 x CROPP attendees AS SOON AS POSSIBLE while there are a few rooms still available.
