Terri Agnew:@Holly & Maureen - dial outs are coming your way

  Holly Raiche:Dinner tomorrow

Julie Hammer:No...lovely temps here too :-)

  Leon Sanchez:Hello everyone!

  Maureen Hilyard:Hi  Leon

Terri Agnew:@Maureen, adigo is having difficulties getting the dial out to work, they are still trying

  Leon Sanchez:Hi Maureen!

Leon Sanchez:I find myself switching into different religions

Leon Sanchez:specially when needing to fast

Holly Raiche:@ Leon - admire the flexibility

Leon Sanchez:for example, when Ramadam comes I switch to Catholic and when Yom Kipur comes I switch to Muslim and then back again

  Holly Raiche:@ SSssooo convenient

  Leon Sanchez:Exactly Holly!

  Leon Sanchez:;-)

Terri Agnew:Policy Advice Page on New Website : https://newatlarge.icann.org/policy-summary

Terri Agnew:Policy Advice Development Page: https://community.icann.org/x/bwFO

Terri Agnew:ICANN Public Comment page: https://www.icann.org/public-comments

  Terri Agnew:ALAC Call of 22 December: https://community.icann.org/x/tI9lAw

  Terri Agnew:ICANN 55 website: https://meetings.icann.org/en/marrakech55

  Terri Agnew:Welcome Gisella

  Olivier Crepin-Leblond:Current draft schedule: https://meetings.icann.org/en/marrakech55/schedule-full

Holly Raiche:If we don't have real and productive plans for outreach, then reschedule

Holly Raiche:Terri-Giesell - there is nothing in my main screen

Terri Agnew:@Holly, currently up is the Marrakech time allocations, you may need to update adobe plug in's here: http://tinyurl.com/icannactest

Holly Raiche:Thanks Terri - done the test but still a blank screen

Terri Agnew:try re logging back into Adobe connect, sometimes this needs to be done after plug in's are updated

  Holly Raiche:Will do

Cheryl Langdon-Orr:line dropped... well said Maureen

  Terri Agnew:calling you back Cheryl

  Cheryl Langdon-Orr:thx  bcj

  Cheryl Langdon-Orr:back

Olivier Crepin-Leblond:We need to be given clear directions as to what we can do. Then the Outreach & Engagement WG can design something and then the ALAC will proceed forward with it

  Cheryl Langdon-Orr:exactly T

  Maureen Hilyard:reconnected AC and ph

Maureen Hilyard:Restrict it to small groups

Holly Raiche:Why are we try8ing to frame something to do for outreach when there are no details - surely we can spend the time more wisely

Olivier Crepin-Leblond:@Alan: the point was not about painting a school - it was about the advance team that did the scouting.

Olivier Crepin-Leblond:who is doing the scouting?

Olivier Crepin-Leblond:Who did the scouting for South Africa?

Olivier Crepin-Leblond:What is the GSE Team for Africa doing? Becuase IMHO this is exactly the work they should be preparing for ICANN's communities

Holly Raiche:Maybe in Marrakesh we can have ONE hour discussion on what we mean by outreach and who does what so that we don't face another meeting without any idea of wha is possible and who will organise whatever we mean by outreadh

Cheryl Langdon-Orr:Yes Tijani  agree that was THE Prpose  in my memory as well

Terri Agnew:At-Large ICANN Civil Society Engagement in Fiscal Year 2016 Workspace: https://community.icann.org/x/-5FCAw

Olivier Crepin-Leblond:I do not agree. Outreach in MArrakech is important. The place is not just a holiday destination. It has a vast network of startups. http://www.wamda.com/2014/11/global-entrepreneurship-summit-2014-marrakesh

  Holly Raiche:He's joing, surely!

  Holly Raiche:sosrry - joking

Cheryl Langdon-Orr:Olivier  Yes it is  and the local  part of our community would normally  be in good sted to arrange and faciitate,  but WHEN THE SME PEOPLE R THE Meeting Orgnises  it is not practical for this time

Holly Raiche:'short train rides' for WHAT?

Holly Raiche:So using ICANN money for IGF stuff - but NOT about what ICANN  does?

Cheryl Langdon-Orr:It certainly COULD  b OCL

  Cheryl Langdon-Orr:YUP

Holly Raiche:So if it can be seen as an outreach opportunity for short train rides to attend IGF stuff

Cheryl Langdon-Orr:cheque is in the mail  OCL ˆhugˆ

  Maureen Hilyard:+1 Cheryl for AP

  Olivier Crepin-Leblond:Wolf Ludwig for EUR

Olivier Crepin-Leblond:so AF, LAC & NA need to appoint someone to act as a liaison

Holly Raiche:And again - burden on people's time to be a liason to a group without an ICANN purpose

Olivier Crepin-Leblond:I don't agree Holly: it's an extension of the Outreach & Engagement WG

Terri Agnew:CCWG on Enhancing ICANN Accountability: https://community.icann.org/x/ogDxAg

Olivier Crepin-Leblond:it seems to be anatural thing for O&E to do.

  Cheryl Langdon-Orr:OHH indeed I have!!!!

  Cheryl Langdon-Orr:yup Correct

Holly Raiche:Seen in THAT light, maybe.

Leon Sanchez:public comments? what are those? :P

Cheryl Langdon-Orr:BUT  GNSO  and ccNSO to come

Tijani BEN JEMAA:I don't agree on giving the Civil Society activities to Outreach and engagement group

Tijani BEN JEMAA:It is a horizantal dimention

Maureen Hilyard:ccNSO will be presenting a statement by the end of the year- Byron and Bart are drafting something up based on a wide range of views from witin their community

Cheryl Langdon-Orr:I trust that is not the intention Tijani  I will watch for tht carefully

Holly Raiche:@ Tijani.  I am inclined to agree with you, but it is the only place where it makes any sense at all.

Maureen Hilyard:Yes ccNSO also want to get community feedback for their statement to the CCWG by 7 Jan

Tijani BEN JEMAA:Holly, Since not all the At-Large consider thelselves as civil society, I think that it is the RALOs work to help those ALSes that consider themselves as civil society to step in and participate actively  in the Civil society movance

  Olivier Crepin-Leblond:ok understood. Thanks @Alan.

Holly Raiche:@Tijani - my question remains - partivcipate in WHAT? Those interested in civil society issues are probably already involved in those issues.  And when ICANN issues raise civil society type issues, then we can be involved. - and those who are really involved in civil society can take the lead

Leon Sanchez:I wouldn't EVER dare shut you up Cheryl :-)

  Terri Agnew:At-Large Working Groups: https://community.icann.org/x/loIi

Terri Agnew:ALAC Subcommittee on Finance and Budget: https://community.icann.org/x/n4XT

  Terri Agnew: CROPP: https://community.icann.org/x/P400Aw

Olivier Crepin-Leblond:Re: Working Groups, the pages for some of the working groups are not updated

Holly Raiche:@ Alan - are looking forward to a really constructive discussion on WG - membership and mission

Maureen Hilyard:APRALO has selected Ali AlMeshal already

Cheryl Langdon-Orr:he is from Ourtreach aand egagement  nt FBSC   that used to be my role

Holly Raiche:@Maureen - an item for APRALO team discussion?

  Heidi Ullrich:That is a joke,  all!  ;)

Olivier Crepin-Leblond:I was going to speak on CROPP

Cheryl Langdon-Orr: so FBSC  needs to be advised look at who are still Members of Participants in FBSC and appoint / reappoint  noting the perso needs to be actvly engaged...

Holly Raiche:Those of us who have used the funding do reports with metrics

  Heidi Ullrich:Correct, Alan

Olivier Crepin-Leblond:A lot of ALSes have signed up after meeting with people who were CROPP funded

Heidi Ullrich:It might be useful to link them to the RALO strategies and base the ROI on that

Olivier Crepin-Leblond:but smoetimes it takes over  year for an ALS to join

Olivier Crepin-Leblond:and this makes it difficult to trace the source of the ALS interest back to a CROPP trip

Holly Raiche:Maybe this whoe topic can be discussed more fully at Marrakesh (in our spare 15 minutes!)

Olivier Crepin-Leblond:Outside CROPP, for example the first time I met with the representative from the recent Lebanese accredited ALS was in Bali in 2013 - two years ago!!!

  Heidi Ullrich:+1 Cheryl

  Heidi Ullrich:promote, promote, promote

Olivier Crepin-Leblond:ALAC Review - kaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaacccckkkkk......... help!

Heidi Ullrich:and perhaps have the people going on the various trips pass on best practice on how to be more effective at the event and then promote

  Ron Sherwood:Bye all, thanks

  Cheryl Langdon-Orr:lol OCL

Holly Raiche:@ OCL - you must not fear ALAC Review - I hope

  Cheryl Langdon-Orr:Bye Ron Merry Chriistmaa
