The last GNSO Council meeting was held on 20 November. A full report will follow shortly (including a summary of Cairo)

From Cairo, one issue that bears some discussion is the RAA. ICANN legal counsel and staff believe that the only way that the current RAA proposed changes can be enacted is for the GNSO to adopt them as a consensus policy by a >66% vote. If the GNSO feels that changes must first be made, or that additional terms must be added, it will require a full-blown PDP, which would take months or more likely years.

I believe that there was nothing that requires immediate ALAC or At-large action at the 20 November meeting.

ICANN policy staff reported that the ALAC Request for an Issues Report on post-expiration domain recovery and expected to be able to complete the report in the officially mandated 15 days.
