Mikey O'Connor, Chair of the Thick WHOIS Working Group, has agreed to ask team members to help the Standing Committee on Improvements Implementation (SCI) test a draft instrument called "Working Group Self-Assessment."

The link to the "Thick WHOIS" questionnaire has been distributed under separate cover.

If you are a member of the "Thick WHOIS" Working Group and have comments or other feedback about the instrument, feel free to add them in the Comments section of this page.

In particular, the SCI is interested in learning:

  • Are the questions intelligible and is the wording clear as to intent?
  • Are the design and format straightforward?
  • Does the scaling (1-7) make sense?
  • Are the instructions clear?
  • Is the online presentation (QuestionPro) easy to complete?
  • Can the entire questionnaire be completed within a 30 minute time-frame including any written comments?
  • Are there any important elements of the Working Group’s operations that have been neglected?

Any other information you would like to provide would be appreciated.

THANK YOU!

  1. I think it's fine. I was able to do it in about 15 minutes. My advice would be to keep it within a 15 time frame. If someone wants to spend more time on it with more extensive comments, that's fine. But it should be something that can be completed within 15 minutes as it currently is.
  2. I agree with Tim. I added comments, but only to elaborate on my choices/answers. All in all, I believe that these questions (if answered regularly following the conclusion of the work of every working group) should provide a fine assessment of the inputs/outputs/participation by the working group members.

The questions were clear and easy to answer, and took very little time to go through (about 20 minutes including comments).
