Seth Greene: Hello, everyone.

Rudi Vansnick: hi Seth

Seth Greene: Hi, Rudi.  I was actually just about to send you an e-mail.  Would you take a look in a moment, pls?

Rudi Vansnick: yes no problem

Seth Greene: Thanks

Rudi Vansnick: got your mail ...

Rudi Vansnick: i posted already the link to the related website where the workgroup docs can be found

Seth Greene: Thank you, Rudi.

Rudi Vansnick: hectic too here ... still no government after elections in June 2010, a week before the icann meeting in brussels

Rudi Vansnick: you imagine what this means

Dev Anand Teelucksingh: Hello all!

Rudi Vansnick: hello Dev, just dialed in

Rudi Vansnick: hello everyone

Chris Grundemann: hello, dialing in now

Seth Greene: Thanks, Chris.

Dave Kissoondoyal: Hello all

Seth Greene: Hi, Dave.

Rudi Vansnick: it is New Year today .... in China ;-)

Dave Kissoondoyal: Kung Shee Fat Choy - Wish you a happy Spring Festival and a happy Chinese New Year -- This year is the Rabbit year

Dave Kissoondoyal: Seth, grateful to you if you could please speak a bit louder... i can hardly hear you

Rudi Vansnick: i commit myself to go through the consumers document tomorrow as i'm also following a similar discussion in other groups

Dev Anand Teelucksingh: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1_OCuIauvB4nuD65onrRT__ehqkrYMBIds8Uu_EW0OYA/edit?hl=en_GB&authkey=CJHsxb4G\\

Seth Greene: Sorry, Dave.  I just am seeing your note.  Will speak louder from now on.

Dev Anand Teelucksingh: I think Adigo increased your volume while you were talking Seth

Seth Greene: Thanks.

Seth Greene: I believe I quoted 2 hrs. for SF first WT session.  Please note that Cheryl has corrected that to likely 90 min.

Dave Kissoondoyal: thanks a lot

Heidi Ullrich: No, WT C agreed on 2 hours for the Sunday session and 90 minutes for the Wrap-Up session, I  believe

Seth Greene: Thank you, Heidi.

CLO: I agree  Dev and particularly  for the work pf THIS WT

Heidi Ullrich: sorry, 45 mins for the Wrap up...

CLO: I had it reversed then sorry  2 hrs  OK

Seth Greene: Checked notes.  WT C discussion agreed on 2 hrs Sunday and 45 min. for Wrap-Up, but ultimately up to ALAC, of course.

Heidi Ullrich: Yes, that is correct, Olivier

Heidi Ullrich: Thanks, Seth

Rudi Vansnick: +1

Heidi Ullrich: Point taken, correct, Cheryl!

Heidi Ullrich: May I say  "tentative" agenda....

Heidi Ullrich: https://community.icann.org/display/Improve/Defending+Consumers+on+the+Internet+-+Draft+2\\

CLO: Excellent  Heidi :-)

Dave Kissoondoyal: I recommend to be printed and distributed to all ALS so that we can use in our outreach activities

CLO: Yes  there needs to be a couple of edits  to the App 2 as suggested   some changes  to current  tense and details  of  NCSG  and NCUC  and  the GNSO  definition needs updating to show the 2 house structure leading to the other edits.

Heidi Ullrich: ok, will do

Heidi Ullrich: We could also add it to the Consumer Commons

CLO: the link to the revised  COns Conct  current is here https://docs.google.com/viewer?a=v&pid=gmail&attid=0.1&thid=12de7d5e0f2c1bda&mt=application/vnd.openxmlformats-officedocument.wordprocessingml.document&url=https://mail.google.com/mail/?ui%3D2\\

Dave Kissoondoyal: no further comments on my side

CLO: YES   do add it to the consumer commons

Heidi Ullrich: We can make that an AI

CLO: AND  if we can get something  in say  You tube style / iterview  done  for us to simply Poont  busy people too would be good

CLO: OCL  also need to recognise that the ICANN Web site IS recognised as  erghhh  amd they have a project to fix

Heidi Ullrich: Perhaps we could get a podcast with Olivier, Beau and Rudi?

Heidi Ullrich: Yes, re plans to update website are moving along

Heidi Ullrich: I've stressed the need to have a very visible link to the At-Large site from the ICANN homepage

Heidi Ullrich: Fixing broken links is an AI of IT from Cartagena

CLO: YUP  scarry indeed

Heidi Ullrich: I do need to keep the pressure up on them...

Rudi Vansnick: was ICANN disturbed by what happened in Egypt perhaps ?

CLO: Rods blog Rudi

Heidi Ullrich: We'll fix the summit issues today, though

Heidi Ullrich: Thanks, Dev.

Rudi Vansnick: unmute issue

Rudi Vansnick: waw ... let us know Olivier how you did it ;-)

Dev Anand Teelucksingh: https://community.icann.org/download/attachments/2951129/New+ALACAt-Large+PAD+flowchart+%28Dec+2010%29_ver+6.pdf\\

Seth Greene: https://community.icann.org/download/attachments/2951129/New+ALACAt-Large+PAD+flowchart+%28Dec+2010%29_ver+6.pdf\\

Dave Kissoondoyal: thanks Seth

Heidi Ullrich: Time stops for PCs furing ICANN meetings - or at least it should.

Olivier Crépin-Leblond: before ICANN meetings there is sometimes a storm of PCs

Olivier Crépin-Leblond: last minutes

Heidi Ullrich: Yes, that is due to the deadline for posting of docs to be discussed during Meetings

Dev Anand Teelucksingh: Before Policy is available for comment : https://community.icann.org/download/attachments/2951129/Before+policy+is+available+for+comment+(chart+seg)_ver+3.pdf\\

CLO: and again we need to recognise posative changes being proposed  here not only as I outlined by ATRT recommendations  but ALSO  with things as basic as  us (ALAC and At-Large)  being better intergrated  into Policy dev earlier  i.e. the new open WG  model in GNSO 9INCLUSIVE OF lIAISON ROLES  ETC.,)  currently under final review from draft form

Chris Grundemann: apologies, I am being requested in another meeting

CLO: Sorry  V+CAPS

Seth Greene: Bye, Chris.

Heidi Ullrich: Thanks for joining, Chris.

Rudi Vansnick: bye Chris

CLO: and yes  any extention from any one  HOLDS up the next step in the process by staff so is often limited  by reporting requirements and timings  drawn from  meetings (CO  or Bpoard  that are needed to consider the results of a PC =>  goes to better prioir planning  from the global ICANN perspective etc.,  again noted in ATRT report  and fits  with what Dev is speaking of now

Rudi Vansnick: maybe trying to have our liaisons highlighting this

CLO: Dev  we can respond to that point 8.3. . .   that the CURRENT  state pf the PPC  AND the ATRT  report  looks to these issues

Rudi Vansnick: ok

Heidi Ullrich: Dropped, dialing back in

CLO: All done for today  THANKS  all

Dave Kissoondoyal: thanks Dev and a;ll

Seth Greene: Thanks, Dev and everyone.

Dave Kissoondoyal: bye

Rudi Vansnick: thanks all and till soo
