New gTLD 2012

This event organized by OFCOM, the registry SWITCH, the Swiss business association EconomieSuisse and EURALO was attended by more than 150 participants from all parts of the country. The program offered an intro/overview on ICANN, TLD and gTLD basics with subsequent sessions about chances and risks of this gTLD generation approved by ICANN in June 2011 in Singapore, as well as its launch and application process early next year. Domain Pulse 2010

The registries of Austria (nic.at), Switzerland (SWITCH) and Germany (DENIC) host the Domain Pulse conference each year, alternating between each country. The next conference is hosted by SWITCH. Domain Pulse is the most significant event in the German-speaking region regarding current issues and trends on domain names.

For the second time, EURALO is involved in organising the 2nd European Dialogue on Internet Governance (EuroDIG) in Geneva. EuroDIG is a regional platform for stakeholders (governments, business, civil society) to discuss relevant Internet Governance issues from a specific European angle in regard of the next Internet Governance Forum (IGF) which is convened in late autum in Egypt this year. Pre-Workshop of Internet Rights and Principles
