This meeting was about the update of the AFRALO Activities program of ICANN65 and inform participants about the progress of the preparations.Concerning the students. A call for applications was made which resulted about 149 applications.
A selection committee is evaluating these applications to select the 30 students.
Contact with the university is Ok. The agreement of the reservation of the room is Ok.
A call with Siranush and his team so that our students can benefit from a session similar to that of NextGen.
Action items
- Gisella Gruber to schedule a 15 minutes meeting between the students, Goran & Cherine with the presence of Baher and Pierre.
- Heidi Ullrich to follow up with Maureen to schedule a 30-40 mins during an At-Large Leadership Session on Monday afternoon to present/discuss their RALO Hot Policy Document and students to be invited,
- Gisella Gruber to organize Moroccan mint tea and little cakes during the Hot Topics session.
- Heidi Ullrich to invite Goran, Cherine and Leon attend the presentation and then stay for their discussion with ALAC.
- Silvia Vivanco to invite Goran, Cherine and Leon to participate in the AFRALO/AfriCANN meeting.
- Aziz Hilali to let staff know, (Silvia and Evin) once the students Facebook page is set and other social media channels such as Twitter. In coordination with Aziz, Evin Erdogdu will promote students participation via At-Large Social media channels.
- Aziz Hilali to let staff know once the student's programs are set so they can be posted in the AFRALO Marrakesh events wiki page.
- Yesim Nazlar and Michelle Desmyter to send a doodle for a call during the first week of June.
