1) Describe how the original Purpose and Goals were accomplished: | The purpose and goals of attending EuroDIG were to take the opportunity of this significant and important annual event attended by usually 6-800 various stakeholders as a crucial strategic outreach opportunity for NCUC. The goals were achieved by extensive networking with various groups and individuals, as well as, inclusion of the ICANN related topics in the conference program, which led to additional contacts and new memberships. |
2) Describe how the original Outcomes were achieved:
| My submitted topic proposal on 'ICANN policies and procedures & human rights' was included in the Plenary Session 4: IG policy and IANA transition, which I co-organized. As a data protection lawyer, I have also actively participated in the meetings on data protection (WS7), cross-border Internet and law (WS 2) and empowerment (WS2), and actively represent NCUC and its role within IG policy-making circles. This led to an increased visibility of ICANN, and important related policies, as well as quite a few interested groups and individuals joining NCUC. |
