Trip Assessment Form

1) Describe how the original Purpose and Goals were accomplished:

The purpose and goals were to take the opportunity of the European IGF to conduct outreach with diverse European stakeholders on behalf of NCUC, ICANN, and the ICANN model of multistakeholder cooperation.  This was done by extensive networking and by visibility on the conference program, which led to additional contacts.

2) Describe how the original Outcomes were achieved:

I was the lead organizer and moderator of a session on NETmundial  http://eurodigwiki.org/wiki/NETmundial that featured an excellent panel discussion and standing room only attendance.  We covered a number of issues of direct relevance to ICANN and the ecosystem, including the NETmundial meeting, the NETmundial Initiative, and strengthening the IGF.  I also co-organized and spoke on the plenary session on The IANA Stewardship Transition: A Test Case for Internet Governance?  http://eurodigwiki.org/wiki/The_IANA_Stewardship_Transition:_A_Test_Case_for_Internet_Governance%3F  This provided important information to about 100 participants on the transition and the community's work.
