  1. NTEN  Report

    by  Glenn McKnight

    NTC 15 Conference

The  event  was  a  great opportunity to promote ICANN and NARALO  and  our activities to the  Non Profit  sector.
Laura  Bengford and myself  held  court at lunch two days in a  row  to delegates  to discuss how they are changing the culture of  accessibility.   These BOF's  are organized as informal discussions during lunch
We  were interviewed on Non Profit  Radio  on ways and means to  help non profits  make the transition to improved conditions for people with disabilities.  We had  an opportunity to discuss our  own experiences  and share  best practices to a much wider audience.  The link to the audio clip will be forthcoming.
This year  the number of  Internet  related subjects  ie.  Net Neutrality,  FCA  decision,  Digital rights  etc  were dramatically increased  vs last year    Since it was our  second  year at the event  we rekindled relationships and are engagement was successful   Also  I attended  a  session lead by  staff or  PRI   discussing  their new .NGO  domain name
    Pictures of  event
All the brochures and the  new USB;s  were  targeted  to media and key organizers at the event and organizations
As to followup  we  need to assess the merit of  a  topic  next year at the event given the positive  relationships  built by our participation.
We would like to thank  ICANN and  the  CROPP volunteers  to support this trip
  2. Glenn,

It was a productive conference and some fair amount of awareness around ICANN and .NGO.  Good to hear the conversation around web accessibility and excellent opportunity to discuss on Non Profit radio.  Thanks for plugging us in!

    Best,
    Laura
