ccNSO Internet Governance Liaison Committee (IGLC)

About

The IGLC has been established to coordinate, facilitate, and increase the participation of ccTLD managers in discussions and processes pertaining to Internet Governance.

The ccNSO Council and individual ccTLD Managers, collectively or individually, will be invited to support the position or input of the IGLC. The Committee will take a proactive role in seeking and fostering participation and input into the processes and provide regular feedback to the ccNSO Council, ccNSO members and broader ccTLD community.

Start Date

The committee was convened in April 2019, its first meeting was held on 17 May 2019.

End Date

Not defined. The committee has a permanent nature.

Working Method

The group meets through telephone conferences, and potentially in face-to-face meetings during the ICANN meetings. However, most work is done online.

The charter of a working group defines the work items, internal decision making and procedures, participation, and duration. ccNSO Working Group members are expected not only to participate in but also to drive the Working Group’s efforts. Interested in joining a ccNSO Working Group? Keep an eye out for calls for volunteers, or contact the ccNSO Secretariat.  New members need to be appointed by the ccNSO Council.
