GDPR does not cut it, because in order to use any service, users now need to explicitly tick the box re: privacy and if they do not tick it, they cannot access the service. A conflict between Facebook and Apple relating to who tracks what in Apps provides some insight about how deep tracking goes. Clearly, I agree that we have to address what these behemoths are doing in terms of Privacy and Business Practices.
