Kimberly Carlson:Welcome Stephen
Joke Braeken:hello everyone. Welcome
Stephen Deerhake:Good morning all!
Stephen Deerhake:Good morning Alejandra! Is it early enough? ;-)
Alejandra Reynoso [.gt]:almost 5am here
Maureen Hilyard:Lots of morning people here so soon. 1am for me :)
Alejandra Reynoso [.gt]:-_-
Kimberly Carlson:@Maureen - Ouch
Maureen Hilyard:Im used to it
Joke Braeken:I almost do not dare to say it. It is noon for me.
Stephen Deerhake:That's why I think Debbie should get to call a meeting that works with her timezone now and again...
abibu:hi everyone
Wafa Dahmani:Hi everyone
Wafa Dahmani:pleased to join you
Maureen Hilyard:Hi Wafa
Wafa Dahmani:Hi Maureen
Kimberly Carlson:Welcome Wafa
Wafa Dahmani:thanks Kimberly
Christelle Vaval:hi all
Joke Braeken:hello everybody.
Wafa Dahmani:hello Joke
Joke Braeken:hi Wafa
Debbie Monahan:must admit that the 0700 UTC is an ok one for me
Joke Braeken:Bart will join us in a minute
Debbie Monahan:not helped by having a call this morning at 1am for the PDP WG :)
Peter Van Roste (CENTR):Hi Everyone!
LEONID TODOROV:hello everyone
souleymane:hello everyone
Bart Boswinkel:Hi All
Peter Vergote:Hey all, sorry for the slight delay...
Kimberly Carlson:Hi Peter
Byron Holland:What is the timing for SSR2 next steps?
Byron Holland:thx
Stephen Deerhake:+1 Byron
Stephen Deerhake:He was polite! ;-)
demi getschko:Byron +1
Stephen Deerhake:Me.
Stephen Deerhake:Second
Wafa Dahmani:12 slots includes councillors ?
Stephen Deerhake:Seek the same # as ALAC.
Maureen Hilyard:or the GNSO, Stephen?
Bart Boswinkel:Per meeting
Wafa Dahmani:I think we should consider the number of councillors and 1 by ccnso working group
Bart Boswinkel:That is the current process
Stephen Deerhake:+1 Debbie - across regions
abibu:Probably the background on the current number could help in suggesting additional number.
Peter Van Roste (CENTR):Are we missing out on strong contributors because of lack of travel sponsorship?
Bart Boswinkel:In principle 4 slots for non-COuncillors
Wafa Dahmani:@Bart only one councillor per region is funded ?
Wafa Dahmani:we can't
Bart Boswinkel:@ Wafa, yes tthat was agreed by Council
Alejandra Reynoso [.gt]:can't hear Maureen :(
Wafa Dahmani:@ Bart ok
Maureen Hilyard:YOu can't hear me. I wanted to say that ALAC has 27 slots specifically for ALAC members and regional leaders
Maureen Hilyard:plus for the GNSO and ccNSO LIaison.
demi getschko:I think there is a great disbalance on the number of slots ICANN fund for gNSO Council and ccNSO council, as an example...
Maureen Hilyard:Alan has just requested another travel slot for the GAC liaison
Ching Chiao:for nomcom councilors -- would it be possible to free these spots from the ccNSO so that it's directly sponsored via the ICANN general pool ?
Bart Boswinkel:@Demi and Maureen: because of the link with the expected cc`TLD finacial contribution ccNSO has been very reluctant to ask for increase
demi getschko:I do not think is a fair way to do... What is the financial contributions from GAC, for exemplo?
Maureen Hilyard:But it does seem to be a little unfair when the GNSO have over 40 travel slots
abibu:+1 to Demi.
Katrina Sataki:@Demi - I like your question :) You can ask it about governments in general ;)
demi getschko:Maureen and Abibu +1
Ching Chiao:thanks Bart
Wafa Dahmani:how many slots does the GAC have ?
Bart Boswinkel:@Demi: it was agreed between ICANN and ccNSO: see link in the document
demi getschko:I knew it. Bart. Thanks. I 'm just pointing what I think could be revisited.
Stephen Deerhake:Good to hear Byron...
Byron Holland:Jay is very involved and a key contributor as well
Byron Holland::)
Ching Chiao:Hi Katrina -- i have one update here to bring to the Council
Stephen Deerhake:Any idea who will replace him?
Ching Chiao:not sure
abibu:draft agenda received.
Bart Boswinkel:Th edociment is scrollabel
Ching Chiao:many members hope Jonathan could stay as member given his experiences . any it's unfortunate and tough call for him to do so
Stephen Deerhake:Thank you Alejandra!
Alejandra Reynoso [.gt]:You're welcome Stephen :)
demi getschko:Ok
Wafa Dahmani:Unfortunately I have to leave Now I have anither meeting to attend physically
