Decisions
- Accept new version of the draft recommendations as is and put on list for ok to send to plenary of 11 October.
- FB and Phil Khoury comments could be captured in an addendum for the public consultation to provide background and context.
Action Items
- SB – to prepare final version (changes to recommendations have to be replicated in the other sections of the document) and send to the list Friday 6 October latest for objections to send to plenary for 11 October meeting. Participants will have until 23:59 Sunday 8 October to comment on this.

avri doria: (22:28) i guess it is just the counselor training that blinds me somewhat. i understand about relationship, but i also know that it was drummed into us that we could not see ourselves well enough to know for sure when we were moving into the fuzzy aone.

Jordan Carter: (22:31) Timeliness is a key KPI for dealing with the work of the Ombuds so it's fine with me to specify that
avri doria: (22:31) so i guess there are no ombudsman counselors that an obdundsman can go to on a period check in basis.

Cheryl Langdon-Orr: (22:39) Agree Jordan, and the main issue the Plenary had was with any "confidentiality' matters to not be addressed etc.,
Jordan Carter: (22:42) all of these items are recommendatory and advisory - they just insulate the function slightly from the board, without changing the board's responsibility or power.
Jordan Carter: (22:42) it just adds a bit of scrutiny and independence.
