Mission

Promote sustainable development in Honduras , 
through the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) and the development of projects to facilitate research, management, coordination and exchange of information and knowledge; the dissemination, awareness and promotion of social change; and the strengthening of institutional and community capacities to promote the development of the country.

1) FACILITATE KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT

Facilitate the management of knowledge for sustainable development, through the use of ICT and the creation of spaces for convergence, interaction and cooperation between institutions and social groups, contributing to research, information exchange and advocacy at the national and regional levels.

2) PROMOTE SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

Promote sustainable development in Honduras through awareness raising, information exchange and dissemination of institutional or community actions for the social, cultural, political, economic, environmental and technological development of the country.

3) STRENGTHEN INSTITUTIONAL AND COMMUNITY CAPACITIES

Strengthen capacities of public, private and community entities in the management of sustainable development in Honduras, promoting and applying the use of ICT in projects, institutions and communities.

ORGANIZATION

The RDS-HN as a civil entity is integrated with the participation of four sectors of the Society: governmental sector, private, academic and NGO's / OPD's. Its governance is integrated by four integrated management bodies as follows:

  • Assembly
  • Board of directors,
  • Technical Committee
  • consultive advice

As support bodies for transparency processes, the RDS-HN has the assistance of a Legal Department and External Audit, who in coordination with the Advisory Board assist in the areas where their services are demanded.

Its administrative structure is led by the National Coordination, the administrative body responsible for compliance with the institutional objectives, for the execution of actions and projects developed through its operating bodies in its different areas of work.

The Sustainable Development Network HN, in terms of its operational structure, has different components and sub-components that articulate the institutional work so diverse, oriented to research and execution of development projects, promotion and use of ICTs, production services audiovisual and media management.
