The Socialtext workspace that you were trying to locate is no longer available.

On June 1st, 2011, ICANN closed Socialtext wiki after migrating all of the data to this new location, ICANN’s Community Wiki.

The data previously found in the Socialtext wiki can now be located in this Community wiki by utilizing the “Search” box at the top right of the page for either a specific document or workspace.

This change was made in the spirit of supporting ICANN’s core values and mission of “Remaining accountable to the Internet community through mechanisms that enhance ICANN's effectiveness”. Here are the four main reasons ICANN made the upgrade:

  1. Supports the community better:
    • Strong search capability
    • Utilizes rich text editor and wiki markup as well as HTML format
    • On-line templates
  2. More user friendly:
    • Better editor function
    • Auto complete features
  3. Stronger security/permission setting:
    • Granular permissions settings
    • Can restrict access on specific pages, sections and/or workspaces
  4. Costs less
    • Reduced yearly maintenance fees
    • Fewer ICANN IT personnel resources required to support
  • No labels
