Nathalie  Peregrine:Welcome to the ICANN Accessibility Taskforce Call on Monday 26 January 2015 at 2000 UTC
  Nathalie  Peregrine:Meeting page: https://community.icann.org/x/Wo4QAw
Maureen Hilyard:Hi Nathalie don't mind me being early just checking the system here at work.. I'll be back in time for the meeting to start. :)
  Nathalie  Peregrine:ok thanks Maureen!
Pat-Caption First:Hi, the is Pat Graves with Caption FIrst.   My captioner will be joining soon.  I gather we are just one for the demo and not for the whole hour meeting?  Or am I under the wrong impression?
Nathalie  Peregrine:Hello Pat and welcome! You are the second item on the agenda after the roll call and review of Action items. But you are very welcome to stay for the duration if you so wish!
Pat-Caption First:I will drop off, as will the captioner, unless you need he captioning support for this meeting...
  Pat-Caption First:okay, thanks
  judith hellerstein:Hi all
  Silvia Vivanco:Hello alll
  Gunela Astbrink:Hi everyone
  Cheryl Langdon-Orr 2:Hi Gunela
judith hellerstein:is it me. i just muted
Silvia Vivanco:Josh we have designated you as "guru" thank you so much for joining this call today
  Josh Baulch::)
  Gunela Astbrink:Yes!
  Josh Baulch:you are correct Cheryl
judith hellerstein:ok I am my ipad as well as my desktop
Dev Anand Teelucksingh:Not hearing you Judith
Nathalie  Peregrine:Judith, we cnnot hear you
Pat-Caption First:I am on the Adobe audio.....i no longer need a phone call from Adobe.
Pat-Caption First:I think Judith is trying to call me.
Pat-Caption First:and I will be doing the presentation
judith hellerstein 3:sorry about that was loggin to adobe on firefox
Nathalie  Peregrine:@ all, please mute your AC mics
Cheryl Langdon-Orr 2:both my android moibile devices ( using the Adobe App) one with Firefox and one with Chrome  are showing  "Unsupported Content"  in the centre screen...  ONLY  the MS OS  AC room  is showing me Captioning  *A  I have experienced before using captioning*
  Maureen Hilyard:Workng well
  Silvia Vivanco:no problem
Cheryl Langdon-Orr 2:No colour change  but otherwise OK  in the MS  OS
Laura Bengford:Looks good, the colors in modern
Dev Anand Teelucksingh:On iOS - doesn't work - does work on the desktop
  Laura Bengford:grey shading, not colors
  Silvia Vivanco:yes nice!
  Gunela Astbrink:Working for me
Dev Anand Teelucksingh:The blue is reminscient of Xtree
Dev Anand Teelucksingh:(Xtree is a very old DOS program)
Cheryl Langdon-Orr 2:LOL  Dev  shoiwing your age
  Dev Anand Teelucksingh:yes
Gunela Astbrink:I'm on iOS using Firefox
Laura Bengford:LOL, I remember Xtree as well!
  Silvia Vivanco:Welcome Olivier
  Pat-Caption First:https://www.streamtext.net/player?event=ICANN
Dev Anand Teelucksingh:yes so the links in iOS Adobe Connect - links don't work
judith hellerstein 3:this works on the ipad now
Dev Anand Teelucksingh:workaround would be to have the streamtext URL on the meeting info web page
judith hellerstein 3:if you type them into the browser it works fine
judith hellerstein 3:i have it running on my ipad
Dev Anand Teelucksingh:the streamtext URL works in Safari for iOS when typed directly (like Judith)
Josh Baulch:Those that are having issues with links. . . try the link on the lower right to see if that works for you?
judith hellerstein 3:have he text srreaming on both my mac laptop and my ipad
Dev Anand Teelucksingh:web links pod isn't supported on Adobe Connect for iOS - says Unsupported Content
Dev Anand Teelucksingh:just like the CFI pod
Josh Baulch:ok. good to know dev
judith hellerstein 3:DEv just type in the url link into the safari browser and it works
Dev Anand Teelucksingh:Oh yes, it works when I type it in ; the problem is how to give the streamtext URL to mobile uses using the Connect app
  Dev Anand Teelucksingh:uses = users
judith hellerstein 3:@natalie I am listed twice in teh particiapnts and in the apologies
Dev Anand Teelucksingh:The Adobe Caption pod doesn't work in iOS
Dev Anand Teelucksingh:same "unsupported content" as for the CFI Pod
Nathalie  Peregrine:@ Judith,I ve erased you as apology, but I do not see you twice in attenees
  Nathalie  Peregrine:attendees
judith hellerstein 3:write since the content is not supported just as it was with the adobe pod
judith hellerstein 3:once in attendeed and once in aplogies and now i am in both
  Silvia Vivanco:no
Laura Bengford:yes, it appears that caption first is faster because of that Pat
Olivier Crepin-Leblond:it does not work on iPad since it is using flash and this is not supported on iPad
judith hellerstein 3:Olvier that is correct but the stream text link that was given out and is at the top of the page works
Olivier Crepin-Leblond:but it is possible to use the captioning directly in another browser window and that works both on iPad and on android phone
judith hellerstein 3:if you type in the url directly into safari you can see the stream text it is just the dynamic link does not work
Olivier Crepin-Leblond:note that the pods do not work on android phone either
judith hellerstein 3:yes it is an adobe issue
Dev Anand Teelucksingh:indeed, that's the problem with Adobe Connect plugins based on Flash (SWF) - they won't work with mobile
Josh Baulch:in this case - we would give the captioner the audio feed for the Spanish Interp.
Cheryl Langdon-Orr 2:Yes Josh  that would be the way
Dev Anand Teelucksingh:to show the streamtext url for mobile users - perhaps a PDF or presentation with the Streamtext URL could be shown
Dev Anand Teelucksingh:I *think* the URL in such a presentation or PDF would display on mobile devices
Cheryl Langdon-Orr 2:We need to test that Dev
Josh Baulch:the only way ICANN was able to get it to work, was to do a screen share of a computer that was only showing the text, but it limited the users to not be able to make any changes, colors etc
Dev Anand Teelucksingh:yes, the streamtext page works well on mobile
Dev Anand Teelucksingh:I think the real benefit is getting the gist of the meeting quickly after a meeting - during F2F meetings the live scribing is so crucial for use afterwards
Josh Baulch:Mobile users - Try to open the link on the Left. . . see if it will open from a presentation
Gunela Astbrink:Thank you, Pat and to Heather for the presentation
Dev Anand Teelucksingh:The text is seen on the iOS
Dev Anand Teelucksingh:but the link isn't clickable thought
  Dev Anand Teelucksingh:thought = though
Josh Baulch:ok, let me open a pdf to see if that works
Dev Anand Teelucksingh:I'm thinking Adobe would support its own formats ;-D
Olivier Crepin-Leblond:Josh, thanks for the explanation on how ICANN managed to get it to work
  Josh Baulch:right?!  :)
judith hellerstein:can you open it again
Josh Baulch:ok PDF - try that
Dev Anand Teelucksingh:Rats, link doesn't work with PDF - can see it
Dev Anand Teelucksingh:so use a short URL, it would be easy to type
Josh Baulch:@ Dev - Completety agree
Olivier Crepin-Leblond:this is what I did: copy the link over by typing it in manually
Olivier Crepin-Leblond:but am happy to report the direct link then shows well on the iPad and android: it does not appear to need flash
Dev Anand Teelucksingh:Thanks Heather and Pat
Nathalie  Peregrine:Thank you Pat and Heather!
  Josh Baulch:Thank you, great info!
Maureen Hilyard:Very interesting hearing about how the system works. Great.
  Silvia Vivanco:Thank you Caption First
Silvia Vivanco:Tuesday, 10 February 2015At-Large Accessibility Working Group  Time: 12:15-13:15 Meeting Room: VIP
judith hellerstein 3:I had the test link site come up on both the PDF and in the PPT
Silvia Vivanco:See wiki for meeting details in Singapore : https://community.icann.org/display/atlarge/At-Large+Meetings+-+Tuesday%2C+10+February+2015+Workspace
judith hellerstein 3:I do not have to do that
  Nathalie  Peregrine:indeed :)
Olivier Crepin-Leblond:test link pod works both on my iPad and android phone
Josh Baulch:If i can add a couple quick comments
  Josh Baulch:with regard to singapore
Laura Bengford:I will not be in Singapore but will be dialing in remotely.
Silvia Vivanco:Thank you Josh. Staff will send you a calendar invite for our meeting in Singapore
Dev Anand Teelucksingh:hmm, for iOS the Adobe Connect apps doesn't disconnect - I don't know if the Adobe Connect for ICANN F2F session has a setting to disconnect inactive users
  Dev Anand Teelucksingh:hmm
Gunela Astbrink:How it should work for blind users is another big issue - we need to work on this too
  Cheryl Langdon-Orr 2:indeed Gunela
  Josh Baulch:ok, agreed. . .
  Gunela Astbrink:Agree with Judith
  Josh Baulch:Correct Olivier
Dev Anand Teelucksingh:Well can both be done ?
Gunela Astbrink:Josh, it's great that this is starting!
  Josh Baulch:Thanks!
judith hellerstein 3:Yes. that wil be great and look forward to seeing and meeting you in singapore
  Laura Bengford:Thank you everyone.
  Nathalie  Peregrine:thanks!
  judith hellerstein 3:bye all
Dev Anand Teelucksingh:Thanks all, take care everyone
