1) Describe the Trip in sufficient detail
that an interested reader could understand Who,
What, When, Where, and Why concerning this
funded CROP activity (please be as expansive
as possible):

NPOC and CROP MISSION REPORT

Africa region

As part of the CROP program, I was nominated by the NPOC Executive Board to use it and carry out a mission to promote the constituency (NPOC) in my geographic area during the 6th edition of the Forum on Internet Governance in Africa (AfIGF). The event was held in Scharm-El-Scheick, Egypt from December 4 to 6, 2017. It was the first time that such an event to be held by all the stakeholders (the NPOC, the AFIGF organizers) and the ICANN staff). Neither the organizers of the event (AfIGF), nor the Travel-Constituency of ICANN and its travel agency (FCM-SOLUTIONS), nor the Executive Board of NPOC were in symbiosis to organize the mission harmoniously. I was the only one to exchange and discuss with all parties. Finally, I was imposed an itinerary and incongruous dates, Thus, I was able to leave my departure city (Cotonou) only on Monday, December 4, the day of the start of the event in which I suppose to participate and which lasts only 3 days. Following a delay in the flight at the transit airport (Addis Ababa, Ethiopia), the plane that was supposed to transport me to Egyptian territory left before we landed in Addis Ababa. This situation made me spend a night and a half day in Addis and another sleepless night at Cairo airport in Egypt (the booking time of my transit hotel in Cairo expired before my arrival within the territory ). I finally arrived on the place of the event in Scharm-El-Scheick on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 around noon. So I was able to attend the forum only for a few hours before the closing ceremony. However, I had the opportunity to have thefloor and share with the participants the purpose of my participation at the event. A few NPOC flyers that I had picked up a few days earlier at ICANN 60 in Abu Dhabi and which I distributed hand-to-hand, allowed me to reach at least 80% of the participants with the NPOC message. In fine, the mission has been very challenging for me, and lessons need to be learned to improve the service and delivery of all stakeholders to this type of activity.

2) Explain the extent to which the Proposed
Goals and Outcomes were accomplished
(see above LINK to review the original Proposal):

A few NPOC flyers that I had picked up a few days earlier at ICANN 60 in Abu Dhabi and which I distributed hand-to-hand, allowed me to reach at least 80% of the participants with the NPOC message.

Anyway, 100% of the persons present at the closing ceremony have hear my message during my talk.

3) Additional information pertaining
to this outreach Trip (optional):

Neither the organizers of the event (AfIGF), nor the Travel-Constituency of ICANN and its travel agency (FCM-SOLUTIONS), nor the Executive Board of NPOC were in symbiosis to organize the mission harmoniously.

I was the only one to exchange and discuss with all parties.Something wich was not easy to manage at all.

In fine, the mission has been very challenging for me, and lessons need to be learned, as I've now described my own experience,  to improve the service and delivery of all stakeholders to this type of activity.
