Applicable Rules for Votes in LACRALO

      TIMELINE

•  A list of ALSes and representatives in LACRALO will be sent by At-Large Staff to the mailing list to confirm the ALS list.

•  A teleconference will take place on 18 January  for questions and answers from the candidates. ALSes are encouraged to submit questions for the candidates in writing before the  teleconference for the candidates to answer them on the conference call. 

• Per the Rules of Procedure of the LACRALO, nominations will be accepted for a minimum period of 4 weeks from the date of the Call for Nominations, with the election to take place no sooner than 48 hours after the expiration of 8 weeks from the date of the Call for Nominations. (Rules 13.1, 13.2, 13.3)

•  At the end of the voting period, the votes are tallied by staff as per rule 12.9 of the RoP (each vote is weighted with a country coefficient), and the results of the vote, including the votes cast and by which voter are presented to all of LACRALO.

•  ALS representatives can email any questions to the list or via this election page.

•  If only one candidate is nominated for a particular position, the same procedure used before will be applicable to determine the winner.

• Newly elected Chair and Secretariat  will take their seats after ICANN 55 in Marrakech.

*All nominees are expected to submit a brief expression of interest explaining why they believe they are a suitable candidate and must also complete or update their Statement of Interest (SOI).

Reglas aplicables a votos de LACRALO 

      CRONOLOGÍA:

• Una lista de ALSes y representantes de LACRALO sera enviada por el personal de At- Large Staff a la lista de correo para confirmar la lista de ALses .

• Una teleconferencia se llevara a cabo el 18 de January para preguntas  y respuestas de los candidatos. Se sugiere que las ALSes envien preguntas  para los candidatos por escrito antes de la teleconferencia para que los candidatos contesten en la teleconferencia.  

• De acuerdo a las Reglas de Procedimiento de LACRALO, nominaciones seran aceptadas por un minimo de 4 semanas desde la fecha de la llamada a nominaciones, y la eleccion se llevara a cabo no antes de 48  horas despues de 8 semanas desde la fecha de la llamada de Nominaciones.  (Rules 13.1, 13.2, 13.3)

• Al final del period de votacion, los votos seran calculados por staff de acuerdo a la regla 12.9 de las Reglas de Procedimiento  (cada voto es ponderado de acuerdo al coeficiente del pais ), y los resultados del voto, incluyendo los votos por cada votante son presentados a todos en  LACRALO.

• Todos los representantes de las  ALS pueden mandar sus preguntas por email a la lista de LACRALO o a travez de esta pagina de elecciones. 

• Si solo un candidato es nominado para cualquiera de las posiciones, el mismo procedimiento usado anteriormente sera applicable para determinar el ganador.

 Presidente y Secretario tomaran sus posiciones despues de la reunion de Marrakech.

• Todos los nominados deberan enviar una breve expresion de interes explicando por que creen que son un candidato adecuado y tambien Deben completer o actualizar su SOI 'declaracion de Interes (SOI).
