Organizational reviews are mandated in ICANN Bylaws to take place every five years across all supporting organizations and advisory committees (SO/ACs), and the Nominating Committee, and are conducted to examine (i) whether that organization, council or committee has a continuing purpose in the ICANN structure, (ii) if so, whether any change in structure or operations is desirable to improve its effectiveness and (iii) whether that organization, council or committee is accountable to its constituencies, stakeholder groups, organizations and other stakeholders.
The second review of the Nominating Committee began on 6 June 2017.
