This is an open community discussion facilitated by the co-chairs of the Cross Community Working Group that has been tasked to develop a Uniform Framework of Principles for Future Cross Community Working Groups. To date, despite the increasing reliance on CCWGs for cross community work, there has been no community agreement on a set of uniform principles for their formation and operations.

This session will be an opportunity for the community to provide feedback on the four topics that the CCWG has identified as being of major concern from the public comments received to its proposed Draft Framework earlier this year. The group plans to complete its Final Framework after ICANN56 for adoption by its Chartering Organizations prior to ICANN57.

AGENDA:

  1. Welcome, introductions and brief overview of the proposed Framework
  2. Community discussion on topics of major concern:
    1. Ensuring diversity in membership and representation

    2. Budget planning and resource allocation issues

    3. Defining consensus

    4. A CCWG's role in implementation of its recommendations

    5. Other topics from the community
  3. Next steps and closing
