Following the Meeting of the Metrics WG held at the Durban Meeting WG interaction with ALAC an At-Large Leadership in Durban, and will intensify between the ICANN #47 (Durban) and ICANN #48 (Buenos Aires) Meetings .
August Update for ALAC Meeting:
A doodle Poll will be sent out shortly to explore a fortnightly meeting schedule, running up to the Buenos Aires Meeting. All Regional Representatives (ALAC and RALO) are urged to work with their Regional ALS Members to ensure each Region is well represented in this WG during this part of the project. PLease see this link At-Large Metrics Sub Committee to check who is currently registered with staff as members and also please ensure that these people are checked with to ensure their interest in continuing involvement over these next few busy months.
Note a WG update was held in Durban at 1715 -1800 local time on Sunday 14th July during the ALAC and Regional Leaders Working Session 1. please see archive copy of meeting materials from this session for details until minutes/reports are lodged in the wiki space.
Report to the March 2013 ALAC Meeting:
During the first three months of 2013, the ALAC Metrics Sub-Committee, as a subsidiary of the larger ALAC Rules of Procedure Review Work Group (ROP-WG), has not met specifically as the Metrics SC but its members have been engaged in the final completion phase of the new ALAC Rules of Procedure draft in their capacity as ROP-WG Drafting Team members. please see the new DRAFT Rules Of Procedure for ALAC consideration Wiki page for further details.
Further work of the Metrics SC is envisaged to begin again between the Beijing and Durban ICANN Meetings with specific focus on the refinement of and details for the Metrics referred to in the proposed new ALAC Rules of Procedure post adoption (to be listed as one of the associated 'adjunct documents')

16 April 2012 Combined ALAC ROP Review and At-Large Metrics (Sub) Working Groups
The first Rules of Procedure Working Group teleconference - INCLUSIVE of the Metrics Working Group - was held on Monday 16 April 2012 at 1800 UTC.

This meeting was well attended with members form both the ROPs and Metrics Sub Team and we covered matters of Background and history of Rules and rule versions in At-Large and ALAC as well as to discuss mechanisms for the review (section by rule section with options for new sections to be added as well as integration and synthesis opportunities / rationalization discussed, and an outline a way forward towards our reporting points at Prague was discussed. It should be noted that work will be focussed on the use of the wiki as a tool for review ( with a general suggestions page to be created as a catch all space ) and with all sections at least initially being analysed and commented on in parallel.
Meetings of the ROPs WG are planned to alternate with that of the Metrics Sub Team, PROPOSED to be held on Monday May 7th time (TBD noting proposal for rotation of times); as well as those of the 'parent' ALAC Improvements Implementation Task Force ( AII-TF)
To that end we should note that the next Taskforce Working Group call has been rescheduled to Monday 30 April 2012 at 1800 UTC.
