CLO: Verified with the group if the Summary Minutes from the last call are accurate.

Announcement - NARALO list discussion and external list (CESP) list.
CLO: Stated she would like to discuss these issues.
Outreach:
HU: Announced that the BCEC candidate page will be hosted by BigPulse and will be ready by the end of the week.
CLO: Has had seven people ask her for specific requests.
Survey of regions:
JM: (LACRALO) Vanda indicated she will not be submitting an SOI. JM also reminded LACRALO that they should not choose only one candidate, but encouraged them that quality is important.
CW: Noted that there is no news on this topic from Europe.
YA: Mentioned that there has been interest within the African region.
CW: Stated that having a director who has previous board director experience in general, not specifically ICANN Board experience, would be convenient and would simplify matters.
JC: Has identified three people and is planning to reach out to them.
CLO: Asked the committee whether it is possible to influence their region? And to remind them that this is a high-risk strategy to have only one candidate from a region. Also, let them know, as JM has done, that they could look outside of their region. It would be great if all regions could endorse/support a candidate.
JM: Reminded the group that they do not need to find one perfect candidate who will represent the entire globe. The regions need to find someone who is smart, honest, ethical, and who can work with people.
However, I don't think that the Utopian view will happen in LACRALO. They will likely choose regional candidates...
CLO: Inquired about the Press release question.
CW: Would like ICANN's legal counsel to respond to list traffic on issue of process.
CLO: Suggested that as chair of BCEC, she will ask ICANN's Legal team to prepare text to be placed on public sites.
JM: Agreed with that idea.
CW: Noted that this has to be dealt with at the top level.
AR: has been in communication on the NA-Discuss list regarding candidates. However, those that indicated interest, said they would complete the SOI through the regular means.
