- Heidi Ullrich, the new Manager, At-Large Regional Affairs, introduced herself to the AFRALO Members.
- It was suggested that the date and time of the montly AFRALO Meeting be changed to accomodate the schedules of more ALS participants. The result of the Doodle vote was to change the date of the AFRALO Meeting to the first Wednesday of each month and the time to 17:00 UTC.
- The next AFRALO Meeting will be January 7, 2009 at 17:00 UTC.
- AFRALO members selected who was responsible for drafting responses to public comments that were currently open. The results are:
1. Improving Institutional Confidence Process - Closed with no extension possible (responsible: Hawa)
2. External Review of the ALAC - 12 December 2008 (responsible: Fatimata)
3. New Generic Name Top Level Domains - 7 January 2009 (on French version) (responsible: Didier)
4. Role of Internet Users in the GNSO - Closed with no extension possible (responsible: Khaled)
5. Draft Implementation Plan for IDN ccTLDs - 9 January 2008 (responsible: Mohammed)
