David is Senior Director, European Government, and Regulatory Affairs at the Internet Society.
Prior to joining the Internet Society, David was Senior Manager of Public Policy and Trade at Spanish telecom operator Telefonica, based in Brussels. He has been Chair of the Trade Working Group at ETNO, the European Telecommunication Network Operator’s Association, and a member of the European Commission’s Expert Group on Trade Policy. Prior to moving to Brussels, he worked at Telefonica Internacional, as Technology and Operations Manager for the Latin American region.
David is skilled at implementing advocacy campaigns, building coalitions, coordinating cross-border teams, and translating complex technical issues into easily understandable language. He is a Telecommunications Engineer from the University of Alcalá (Madrid) and holds a Master in Business Administration from the EOI Business School (Madrid).
