The APF has been active in recent months with activities such as creating the APRALO Policy Statement on Subpro, the webinar on IDNs, the Roster of Skills and Interests (RoSI), and the survey of regional policy hot topics.

Outreach

To commence planning when the COVID-19 situation has abated and the global travel situation becomes predictable.

2. Recruit new members and, develop and retain current ALSes and individual members

There is a need to enhance APRALO's strategy for recruitment.

ACTION ITEMS

  • Survey current members to identify how they became aware of ICANN and of At-Large?
  • Develop a strategy for recruitment (and retention) of both ALSes & Individual members
  • Build leadership capacity through mentorship and leadership development




  • New members are encouraged to complete the Welcome to At-Large ICANN Learn course
  • Produce Graphic to record entry of new members during FY22
  • Plot APRALO ALSes and individuals on an APRALO map
  • Identify gaps in the region to focus on for recruitment





  • A recruitment strategy is developed to encourage more members (in readiness for post-covid activity?)
  • A membership page is developed to record membership growth and location of members on the APRALO map


3. Enhance APRALO presence within the global internet ecosystem

APRALO members currently participate in:

  • APAC sessions
  • Global IGF, APRIGF, PacIGF, APRICOT, APSIG, APIGA, MEAC-SIG
  • Nationals SIGs and IGFs
  • APRALO members will continue to represent the interests of At-Large and ICANN in virtual and/ or hybrid activities of national regional and international organizations during FY22.
  • Assign CROP slots according to prioritized areas for outreach by leadership members

Discuss with ICANN org teams (GSE, UA/IDN Programs) to plan for activities.

  • Attendance of any participation by ALS or individual members in national, regional or international activities is recorded.
  • Presentations at these events should also be recorded as active participation
  • Record measured outcomes of the use of CROP slots
