The Second Security, Stability, and Resiliency Review is mandated by ICANN Bylaws Section 4.6(c) to examine how effectively ICANN is meeting its commitment to enhance the operational stability, reliability, resiliency, security and global interoperability of the systems/processes (internal/external) that affect the Internet's unique identifiers.

13 February 2019 - The second Security, Stability, and Resiliency (SSR2) Review Team recently met for three days in Los Angeles. During the meeting, we completed our assessment of ICANN's implementation of SSR1 recommendations from 2012, and we detailed the scope items for our remaining areas of focus, as guided by ICANN's Bylaws. SSR2 Review Team Approves Work Plan
13 November 2018 - The Team developed and approved this work plan to guide its work, which focuses on key areas for information gathering, review, discussion, decision-making and related milestones to be achieved during the review process. As was the case for other review teams, this work plan is expected to evolve with the Team's work and will be updated, if needed, as the work progresses.
SSR2 Review Team: Seven Highlights from Our Meeting at ICANN63
12 November 2018 - The SSR2 Review Team has continued to make significant progress since restarting our work in June 2018. We held our most recent face-to-face meeting over two days at ICANN63 in Barcelona, Spain. While there, we also held a public outreach session and met with various ICANN groups. 5 September 2018 - The ICANN Security, Stability, and Resiliency of the Domain Name System Review Team (SSR2) reconvened after being paused since October 2017 and held an in-person meeting from 22-24 August. The review team has on-boarded new members, selected leadership, reviewed completed work to date, and updated its scope/terms of reference. 18 October 2017 - The ICANN SSR Subgroup had a very productive two-day, fact-finding meeting at ICANN headquarters in Los Angeles.
