Committee for a Democratic United Nations (Komitee für eine Demokratische UNO)

The Committee for a Democratic UN (Komitee für eine demokratische UNO, KDUN) was established in 2003. The Committee champions a democratization and strengthening of the United Nations and other international organizations. We count among the world’s leading organizations that have specialized on the establishment of a Parliamentary Assembly at the United Nations as an intermediary goal towards a world parliament. We connect academics, parliamentarians, non-governmental organizations, public persons and dedicated citizens from all around the world who work on this goal. As specialized think tank we develop political recommendations and provide expertise.
KDUN is co-founder and Secretariat of the international Campaign for the Establishment of a United Nations Parliamentary Assembly which was launched in 2007.
The Committee is non-partisan, government-independent and recognized as charitable by German tax authorities. It is based in Berlin.
