Karnofsky focuses his practice on a variety of matters related to intellectual property, the Internet, mobile and social media platforms, privacy and cyber security. His experience includes domestic and international counseling, clearance, prosecution, enforcement and litigation, as well as Internet governance and domain name issues. Highly knowledgeable on new media technologies, Phil also has experience managing Internet property portfolios for global brands and content owners, including obtaining registrations worldwide, and developing and implementing strategies and policies for online branding, enforcement and content distribution. His practice involves significant work with the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) and its new generic top-level domain (gTLD) program. From time to time, we advise clients on ICANN policy matters relating to brand protection, and have assisted clients with preparing comments to ICANN. In addition, we are currently advising several clients on their new gTLD applications.
