Bios:

Bruce Tonkin

Dr Bruce Tonkin is an Australian citizen and is currently Chief Strategy Officer for Melbourne IT Limited, where he is responsible for managing the development of the company's strategic and operating plans, strategic initiatives with major customers and suppliers, and managing evaluation of merger and acquisition opportunities.

Bruce holds a bachelor of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (1st class honours) and a Ph.D. in electrical and electronic engineering. Before joining Melbourne IT in 1999, he worked in small private engineering consulting businesses, universities, and industry research laboratories (e.g., AT&T Bell Labs in the 1980s). Bruce is also a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Don Blumenthal

Don Blumenthal is Senior Policy Advisor to the Public Interest Registry, concentrating on security and stability, accountability and transparency, and abuse and other law enforcement related issues. In that role, he is a member of the ICANN Domain Security and Stability Analysis Working Group and the Whois Survey Drafting Team. He also is an adjunct professor at the University of Michigan School of Information and Michigan State University School of Criminal Justice, teaching courses on information policy, enterprise security planning, contemporary privacy issues, and cybercrime and cybersecurity.

Evan Leibovitch

Evan Leibovitch is Vice‐Chair of the At-Large Advisory Committee (ALAC) and a representative of the North American region. Previously he was the first Chair of ICANN's North American Regional At-­‐Large Organization (NARALO), a position he served for three years before being elected to the ALAC to a two‐year term ending fall of 2012.

Evan's background is in publishing and communications using Internet and print media. A professional journalist by training, he current worksYork University as Open Source Architect and has his own consulting company.

Chuck Gomes

Chuck is Vice President of Policy and Compliance for VeriSign, Inc. He is one of several Verisign representatives to the GNSO gTLD Registries Stakeholder Group (RySG) and has served in that capacity since the start of the Registries Constituency in the late 1990’s. From 2007 to 2010 he represented the RySG on the GNSO Council including serving two years as Vice Chair and one year as Chair. He has been involved in many policy and policy implementation efforts including the New gTLD PDP that started at the end of 2005 and the subsequent implementation work that has been going on since 2007.

Avri Doria

Ms. Doria, is an research consultant working on Internet Architectures and Governance. She has been active in Internet Governance for the past 7 years, is chair of the ICANN Non-Commercial Stakeholder Group (NCSG) Executive Committee, was chair of the ICANN GNSO council, was an active participant in WSIS and post WSIS civil society, is a past chair of the Civil Society Internet Governance Caucus and was a member of the UN Working Group on Internet Governance (WGIG). Ms. Doria spent 5 years as a member of the IGF Secretariat. She currently serves as a volunteer research associate for the Association for Progressive Communications (APC).

Steve DelBianco

As the executive director of NetChoice, Steve DelBianco is a well-known expert on Internet governance, online consumer protection, and Internet taxation. Steve has provided expert testimony in six Congressional hearings, and is a frequent witness in state legislatures. Moreover, Steve is an effective advocate for business interests at meetings of the Internet Governance Forum and ICANN. Steve is often quoted on technology issues in the media, including a segment on "60 Minutes" to expose barriers to e-commerce in residential real estate. Before joining NetChoice, Steve was founder and president of Financial Dynamics, an information technology consulting firm delivering on financial and marketing solutions. He guided the firm through the rapid evolution of industry trends and sold the business to a national firm in 1997. Steve holds degrees in Engineering and Economics from the University of Pennsylvania, and an MBA from the Wharton School.

Brian Winterfeldt

Brian J. Winterfeldt is a partner in the Washington office of Steptoe, where he is a member of the Intellectual Property group. Mr. Winterfeldt’s practice involves most aspects of intellectual property law, including domestic and international trademark counseling, clearance, prosecution, enforcement, and litigation, as well as trade dress, Internet governance and domain name issues.

James Bladel

James Bladel is the Senior Director of Policy Planning at GoDaddy, where he oversees the management of gTLD and ccTLD relations. He is a part of the GNSO.

Jordyn Buchanan

Jordyn Buchanan is the Site Reliability Manager at Google, Inc. Mr. Buchanan was the Chair of the Registry Constituency within the GNSO. He was also a Chair of the Whois Task Force.
