Introduction

This is the LACRALO SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) table prepared by the LACRALO Strategic Planning WG 

 

Strengths

  • ALSes in 15 countries in LAC region

 

 

 

 

 

 

Weaknesses

  • Language Diversity makes it difficult for ALSes to work together
  • Difficulty in understanding ALS perspectives from different language communities
  • Individuals can only participate as observers
  • Many ALSes do not participate in policy development, but participate in elections
  • Lack of understanding of what LACRALO is here to do (MOU with ICANN).

 

 

Opportunities

  • have At-Large representation in all 33 Countries in LAC region
  • End users from a diverse range of countries with respect to history, language, culture, population size could

 

 

 

 

Threats

  • Dissolution of LACRALO
