Olivier Crepin-Leblond:there is around 3 second delay & very faint

  Cheryl Langdon-Orr:give up

Yesim Nazlar:@Cheryl: Please let me know if you need a dial-out

Cheryl Langdon-Orr:the secondment will be going through as the norm I believe Alan we can overcome the push back IMO

Cheryl Langdon-Orr:two calls as once but the AC audio should have been better sorry

Holly Raiche:I hope ALT is all in the same place for breakfast!

Alan Greenberg:@Cheryl, I am presuming that, but it makes for a lot of extra work. BTW, also pushback on ELise being seconded at all.

  Olivier Crepin-Leblond:Remember the Beijing Boxes?

Olivier Crepin-Leblond:I enjoyed chewing on the cardboard

  Heidi Ullrich:Incredible, Gisella!

  Cheryl Langdon-Orr:yup

Maureen Hilyard:@Holly - also the IEs asked if we could be housed near them for additional meetings - someone was going to look into that.   I don't know what hotel  I am in yet - probably miles away from everyone else as per usual

Heidi Ullrich:Please note that the hours the ALAC will have  to discuss policy/process  in Helsinki is MORE than they have had (on average) in previous meetings

Cheryl Langdon-Orr:we will be havin DNS Women  event food and drinks at a nearby venue on Wed night after the reception

Holly Raiche:I have no idea where we will be housed - Still waiting to hear

Heidi Ullrich:Thanks, to Gisella's skills at scheduling

Heidi Ullrich:Staff will be at the Crown Royale

Holly Raiche:So my morning workout will be walking - okay

Cheryl Langdon-Orr:I really don't understand why we can't know about accommodation earlier

Heidi Ullrich:Correction - Staff are at Crowne Plaza

  Holly Raiche:Not possible

Heidi Ullrich:Gisella and I will be on a planning call tomorrow. We will ask re plans of Monday morning

Maureen Hilyard: Im leaving on Friday afternoon

Heidi Ullrich:@Alan, my main point for putting it on the agenda is for developing the agendas

Olivier Crepin-Leblond:Congratulations to the to Vice Chairs! Well done!

Heidi Ullrich:Will the ALAC be preparing to the cross community discussions during the ALAC sessions

Cheryl Langdon-Orr:the feedback on This B meeting matter is essential

Olivier Crepin-Leblond:Indeed Alan -- all future B meetings are Policy Forums now - as is said on meetings.icann.org

Olivier Crepin-Leblond:Nobody else is doing outreach now, apart from ccNSO perhaps

Holly Raiche 2:Agree with Sandra - the whole rationale for the meetings seems to have been lost - the whole purpose of shorter meetings seems lost - so like Sandra - at least look back and see if the aims of the changes were met

Maureen Hilyard:That's why I think it is important that at least some of us join their efforts

Maureen Hilyard:I think that there are real benefits in any cross community interaction activities centred on specific issues

Holly Raiche 2:Also agree with Maureen

Cheryl Langdon-Orr  (CLO):Agree s well but this meeeting needs to be a major learning experience

Heidi Ullrich:@Alan, if you are not available, could Leon be on the call (Tijani will also be in Botswana)?

  Heidi Ullrich:Thanks

sandra hoferichter:My shity computer locked down. Back now with full name

  Holly Raiche 2:Welcome back S

Maureen Hilyard:Technology issues all round S

Olivier Crepin-Leblond:I wasn't suggesting a WEbinar. I was suggesting that whoever is involved with these topics that will be discussed in the afternoon sessions brief everyone else for 5 minutes and then a discussion continues

  Olivier Crepin-Leblond:No slides

Heidi Ullrich:@Holly, I understand, but preparing the webinar would allow the ALAC to hit the ground running

  Heidi Ullrich:It could be 60 mins with 30 Q/A

Holly Raiche 2:I used to organise a muti-stakeholder forum for each meeting - but that has beendropped.  It may help to revise the idea, to have a forum  at each meeting with people from the SSAC/GNSO there

Holly Raiche 2:I don't agree with Maureen - we NEED technical stuff to explain the terminology - what we are talking about

Heidi Ullrich:@Holly, that is, I believe, the concept the of cross-community discussions

Maureen Hilyard:Lots more graphics and diagrams..

Maureen Hilyard:to explain the technical bits

Holly Raiche 2:@ Heidi - the idea of the forums was to host the discussion, with speakers from relevant areas - as well as cross community stuff

Heidi Ullrich:@Holly, correct. At Meeting B, the topics have been agreed.

Holly Raiche 2:Actually, I liked the webinar - so maybe we have webinars at different levels, and yes, train the trainers

Maureen Hilyard:+1 Cheryl about presenters needing to be given guidelines etc

Holly Raiche 2:From my point of vew, yes it wascomplex, but I did learn stuff

Maureen Hilyard:@Cheryl, they learned from that session regarding the quiz options

Heidi Ullrich:Ariel could work with Alan, etc, to prepare one pagers on the policy topic

  Heidi Ullrich:topics...

Holly Raiche 2:Folks - I have to go soon - I do have a day ahead tha is pretty full

Heidi Ullrich:perhaps a template could be used: main points, At-Large Aims; Talking points, etc

Cheryl Langdon-Orr  (CLO):I sincerly hope so  you note I DID NOT EVEN MENTION THE USE OF RADIO BUTTONS OVER CHECK BOXES

  Olivier Crepin-Leblond:+1 Cheryl

Olivier Crepin-Leblond:"select as many as you can" and it's radio buttons

  Heidi Ullrich:Results: https://community.icann.org/display/atlarge/At-Large+FY17+Budget+Development+Workspace?preview=/54696459/59642221/Adopted%20FY17%20SO-AC%20Additional%20Budget%20Requests.pdf

  Cheryl Langdon-Orr  (CLO):sorry CAPs

sandra hoferichter:Gosh my chat coulor is white now cant read it any more but the setting is on black font.

sandra hoferichter:Agenda is also white now;(

Heidi Ullrich:@Tijani, two GAs can happen in Abu Dhabi.

Leon Sanchez:LACRALO may not have a GA at all :P

Heidi Ullrich:Please note that LACRALO's meeting will be an Assembly, not a GA.

Leon Sanchez:the ALAC may not have a LACRALO!

Leon Sanchez:Any region willing to adopt a RALOless ALAC member like me?

  Maureen Hilyard:Join APRALO Leon!

Maureen Hilyard:Mexico is on the Pacific Rim..

  Cheryl Langdon-Orr  (CLO):join us

  Leon Sanchez:Indeed Maureen!

Cheryl Langdon-Orr  (CLO):PICISOC   or Internet Australia

  Leon Sanchez:That is soooo tempting!

Maureen Hilyard:Both are APRALO ALSes.. and registrations are open

Maureen Hilyard:I don't think PICISOC has a member in Mexico yet, you could be our first

  Leon Sanchez::D

Cheryl Langdon-Orr  (CLO):and you can join more than one ALS

Maureen Hilyard:@Leon... are you feeling wanted now?

Cheryl Langdon-Orr  (CLO):I am a member of PICISOC  and 5 other Chapters of ISOC  all ALSes

Leon Sanchez:Definitely feeling the love Maureen and Cheryl <3

Holly Raiche 2:Folks - I really have to go - so apologies.

Holly Raiche 2:Bye Bye (and Yesim - tell the operator NOT to call me back

Silvia Vivanco:yes LACRALO' has agreed to recommend Jose Oviedo

  Cheryl Langdon-Orr  (CLO):for what Silvia

Cheryl Langdon-Orr  (CLO):I saw Alberto to th ALAC

  Leon Sanchez:for NomCom Delegate Cheryl

  Yesim Nazlar:@Holly: Bye bye - they won't :)

Cheryl Langdon-Orr  (CLO):I thought the ALAC  was confiring ll the recommendtions

  Cheryl Langdon-Orr  (CLO):for NC

Cheryl Langdon-Orr  (CLO):including Jose ( who hopefully will not just be a turist)

  Cheryl Langdon-Orr  (CLO):tourist

Cheryl Langdon-Orr  (CLO):They are ALAC  Appointed yes

Cheryl Langdon-Orr  (CLO):as they are reps of the LAC

Cheryl Langdon-Orr  (CLO):That makes perfect sense

Cheryl Langdon-Orr  (CLO):Fine with that Tijani

  Cheryl Langdon-Orr  (CLO):seperte  is fine'

Cheryl Langdon-Orr  (CLO):Committee should still send to ALAC  as a Nominating Committee NOT  an Appointing Committee

Cheryl Langdon-Orr  (CLO):the Selection Party  shoould be a trye Nominating Committee

Cheryl Langdon-Orr  (CLO):I think you have support Alan

Leon Sanchez:yes Alan, you have support
