Chapters help further the Internet Society’s cause to achieve an open and free Internet – an Internet for everyone. We bring Internet Society members in local and regional groups that run programmes and activities dedicated, among other things, to informing policy and educating the public about Internet-related issues. Internet Society Nigeria Chapter is one of such platforms, chartered in 1999 and was rejuvenated in 2017. In November 2020, a new set of leadership was sworn-in to lead the Chapter.
