References are coming in Some referees have chosen to ask for a teleconference with the BCEC Chair rather than sending a written report In those cases, the call has been recorded, and the Chair has submitted a short summary of the conversation, although the official record is the audio recording of the call.

A first straw poll voting has been conducted on the 9 candidatures.

The result of the straw poll, and the follow up actions, has been discussed at a teleconference, held on 2014/01/10.

.

At the teleconference, it has been decided to assign weights to the voting on the different sections of candidates EoIs, to start a new vote, to send reminders to the referees that have not submitted their reference letters and to hold another teleconference at the end of next voting round.

The voting software has been updated and the voting has been held with the agreed rules. The deadline for the vote was Monday 20 January, and a teleconference has been scheduled for Tuesday 21 January to discuss the outcome and further actions.

The result of the vote has been very clear We had a first group of 5 candidates who have obtained a very high score, and a second group of 3 candidates with a substantially lower score. Therefore, at the teleconference it has been unanimously decided to compile the slate of candidates including the 5 candidates that have obtained the higher score. The decision has been confirmed on the mailing list.

The slate of candidates has been communicated to the BMSPC Chair and to the ALAC Chair on Sunday, 26 January.
