Now Adopted: APRALO Rules of Procedure 2024 dated 3 August 2024

Announcement of 6 August 2024

Dear APRALO Community members,

On behalf of the APRALO Leadership Team, we are pleased to inform you that as on 3 August 2024, the decision taken by the APRALO Electorate on the Motion for Adoption of APRALO Rules of Procedure 2024 ("APRALO ROP 2024") of 19 July 2024, is as follows:

  • Total Electorate: 70 votes
  • Supermajority needed to amend the ROP of 26 March 2014 (i.e. an affirmative vote of 3/5ths or 60 % of the Electorate): 42 votes
  • Total affirmative votes cast: 58 votes

This means that a supermajority of the APRALO Electorate has voted to adopt the APRALO ROP 2024 of 3 May 2024 including the accompanying Adjunct Documents, effectively immediately.

A. Background

The APRALO Rules of Procedure Working Group (APRALO ROPs Review WG) was first initiated in 2019 but was subsequently halted, pending the work and eventual ratification by the ALAC of the recommendations in 2 reports: (a) the ALS (At-Large Structure) Mobilization Working Party Report on 4 Dec 2020 (WP wiki space); and (b) the Unaffiliated Individual Members (UIM) Mobilization Working Party Report on 25 Mar 2021 (WP wiki space).
